If you have been reading the previous posts, you will be delighted to hear that the new jute rope is here finally. After much deliberation, we have decided to call it EcoNawa as the yarn is made using eco-friendly processes.
What’s different?
Each of the three strands has 7 sub-plies/strands, each of 5 yarns twisted together. The reason for this construction is to create a super flexible, smooth, loose laid rope that is also durable. In the past, there has always been a trade-off between performance and durability, like car tyres. You can get a reasonably priced ones that last for ages but with unspectacular performance or you pay a hefty premium for race tyres with maximum grip and a short life. Loose laid Japanese style rope is the race tyre and tighter, often double yarn ropes, last well and are more affordable. With this rope, you’ll get the best of both worlds, long life and optimum feel and handling.
It’s sweet smelling due to eco-friendly production methods and wet treating is pretty much pointless as it is perfect right off the reel.
