Incredibly light, yet deceptively strong. We tested one on a load cell. Whilst it started to distort at around 400kg, it held a lot more! The tester only went up to two tons and by this time it was elongating. Whilst this was a one-off test, it seems that you would get plenty of warning, and it would probably be the shape of a paper-clip, before it actually broke and think that would take more than the two tons we threw at it. I don’t like surprises if it comes in the form of sudden failures of critical kit, so this ticks the boxes. It is also a lot more forgiving if hit your head on it as I am apt to do 🙂
A couple of the reviews mentioned that the welds are visible. It’s a fair comment as they haven’t been polished out completely. That’s not to say they are rough or cause any issue, merely that it is not 100% cosmetically. As they said, it is a lot less expensive than those with a perfect finish but do exactly the same job. As I aim to offer good functional products that are affordable to all, so in that spirit, I have reduced the price further.
