You’ll recall that in ‘‘Kiss Me Slander’: Jimi Tatu and the two Osadas’, ‘The Eikechi Legacy: Osada Steve & Kazumi Osada‘ and ‘The Eikichi legacy: More on Dr D Vice becoming Osada Steve‘, I produced evidence to counter slanderous claims by Jimi Tatu that Osada Steve has “stolen” the Osada name. In those articles, I quoted from translations of an important meeting where Steve was given the blessing to continue the Osada name. As Japanese is not easy to directly translate like, say, most European languages, a certain amount is down to interpreting meaning and context. Consequently, English translations will vary in the precise wording but generally a good consensus will appear. So, in the interests of accuracy, I provide an additional rendition.
Here’s a translation of this definitive meeting (Tokyobound article with copy of original text) thanks to Faviola and friends on the excellent Kinbakunomicon site which confirms those close to Eikechi were happy and encouraging for Steve (aka Dr D Vice, at the time) to carry on his work under the Osada name: ‘The wind beneath my rings’

I see Jimi Tatu has denied his libelous claims in his Fetlife group, Japanese Rope Art – Kinbaku – Shibari! He seems to have amnesia about Steve publicly stating on TokyoBound that he “for the past six years, has been e-mailing people fabricated claims that I “stole” the Osada name. Maybe he’s hoping that the DMCA take-down notice to censor incriminating emails was enough?
Of course, I can’t respond to his post as, in his usual manner, he has gagged me with a ban from the group. I’m sure he’d have preferred to make me literally disappear, banana republic style, had it been within his power 🙂 I see he has made a massive big deal over alleged ‘outing’. I inadvertently left first names only in a post I made. This unfortunate breach of etiquette was corrected willingly within hours with no harm done. JackWhipper’s threats of violence were unnecessary and in now way influential. I freely admit it was a screw-up, albeit very minor in risk compared to the lack of secrecy by him and his partner. For a start, I used a common abbreviation which is no more his real forename than Jack . Anyway his real name is well up in the top 100 popular names, and no surname or other identifying information was given. He and his partner seem to make free use of the names used socially on the scene, so it was no secret. I think the lady doth protest too much as he and his partner perform publicly and have photos and video all over the net. Not only that, he has made no effort hide his real name and address from anyone who cares to look for it. I think he needs to get a sense of perspective on risk of outing as his name narrows him down to 100’s of thousands!
Of course, he jumped on this story to discredit me after drawing attention to his spat with Steve. Hell hath no fury 😉

Interestingly, it seems that Tatu has removed his post. At least Fetlife now says: “The post you are looking for could not be found. The group leader might have removed it… that or the boogie monster.” Could it be folk are asking about the links which expose his lies? 😉
