The objectives of this site are to:

• Attempt to stimulate innovative bondage influenced by traditional Shibari/Kinbaku
• To help newcomers to reach new levels of experience (see Tuition)
• To exchange ideas and information
• To document my journey into learning this skill

Please feel free to contribute information, articles and photos. I try to keep information accurate but It can be a bit of a minefield sorting out misinformation from information, so corrections are always welcome.

The site is not intended to be pornographic, although some images are certainly adult. Kinbaku is a combination of the erotic, sadomasochistic and artistic. The proportions will often vary according to the situation and the participants. Anyway, I hope the site will appeal to those who appreciate the art, rather than for 'one-handed' viewing. Apologies to all for my indolence in gettting the latest pics up. Hopefully, I'll get around to posting some of the dozens of new photos that have been taken recently. For example, the series with DangerousDolly by Chris Dee (below) and Tessa. Keep an eye out for January's Bizarre, as there will be an article documenting an underwater bondage session with Alix Fox. The new forum set up by Convolvulus aka harper and I has be going from strength to strength. We now have over 800 members, including many big names. This is small compared to many sites but the activity and quality of discussion has been unprecedented. In the few short months since it started, it has had nearly 4,000 posts, which is many more than some of the top bondage forums.

Our hands-off moderation style has worked wonderfully. If you treat people like adults, they behave like adults. In fact, I'm slightly disappointed that we haven't had a good fight to let loose in the 'no holds barred' forum. Perhaps that is because certain elements are not so lippy without the mods to bale them out by locking threads or deleting posts? Who knows? Anyway, it works and we have a very friendly bullshit-free zone with a bar-room atmosphere. Why not drop by and buy a round of cyber-beers?

There is a wide selelection of groups for every taste: Japanese, Western and Neobari/Fusion bondage; rope, steel, leather and other equipment; models, classifieds and more.

Here are the dates for 2010 so far for the one day courses. As you'll see, I have scheduled some extra classes around Valentine's Day, as this always seems to be a popular period. And why not? Learning how to tie with passion will stand you in good stead long after the candlelight dinner has been digested and the red roses have wilted! Maybe it's because some of you solve that impossible Christmas present problem by booking a course? Either way, courses sell out very quickly, so make sure you book early.
